Germany’s toll rates from December 2023 – an 86% increase

Starting this December, the German Ministry of Transport and Digitization plans to introduce new toll rates for Euro VI trucks. The price increase in this regard has caused quite a stir throughout the industry – a result of an EU directive deciding to introduce road tolls based on CO2 emissions. Moreover, all member states are tasked with implementing such a system by March 24, 2024 at the latest.

Oversized / abnormal – Loads called oversized or abnormal, which exceed the size and weight of the permissible quantities specified in the traffic regulations. They require special transport means often with the use of modular trailers and appropriate cargo devices.
Unpacked loads, the measure of which is specified in tones or cubic meters. They are usually transported in bulk, in barrels, bags or containers. To transport this type of goods, specialized vehicles adapted to the material’s properties are used.
They require specific temperature conditions. Loads that require specific temperature conditions. They are transported with specially equipped vehicles, so they do not lose their consumption properties, they do not change and damage.
